Upcademy is an online language learning platform that connects children with qualified teachers for live, one-on-one and small-group lessons in Urdu, Hindi, and English. References to “Upcademy”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy refer to Upcademy and its operators.

2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, and account password (stored in hashed form).
Child information: For student accounts, we collect the child's first name, age, and learning level. We do not require or collect a child's full legal name, school, or government ID.
Payment information: We collect billing name and address. Payment card details are processed and stored by our payment provider (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform — pages visited, lesson attendance, features used — to improve the service.
Communications: If you contact our support team, we retain those communications to help resolve future queries.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Upcademy platform and schedule lessons
- To process payments and send receipts
- To match students with suitable teachers
- To send lesson reminders, account updates, and service communications
- To improve our curriculum, teacher quality, and platform features
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Children's Privacy
Upcademy is a service for children aged 4–15. We take the privacy of children seriously and comply with applicable children's privacy laws including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service. Parents and guardians must create accounts on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts.
Parents may request to review, correct, or delete their child's personal information at any time by contacting support@upcademy.com.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With teachers: We share student first name, age, level, and lesson notes with the assigned teacher to enable them to deliver lessons.
- With service providers: We use trusted third parties to help operate our platform, including Stripe (payments), Zoom (lessons), and cloud hosting providers. These providers only access your data to perform services on our behalf.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
6. Cookies and Tracking

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@upcademy.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
